The following is a transcript of “The International People’s Claim to the North Pole,” filed by Harald V Reenen with the Library of Congress, Washington D.C.

This Declaration has been sent to the President of the European Commission, the United Nations General Assembly, and the Heads of State of the five Polar states, namely; the President of the United States of America, the President of the Russian Federation, the Prime Minister of Denmark, the Prime Minister of Norway, and the Prime Minister of Canada.

The International People’s Claim to the North Pole

This is a Declaration of Ownership of the North Pole. It’s purpose is to inform the above mentioned and their subjects that:

Harald V Reenen is the sole owner of the North Pole, its energy reserves (oil and gas), and any other reserves that lie under the ice sheet of the North Pole.

He intends to let other individuals, by his own allowance, to join him in order to obtain ownership of the North Pole and its energy reserves. Their names will be added to The International People’s Claim to the North Pole. Participants to this claim will be individuals from all around the world, and will be handed over when he thinks it is appropriate to do so, subject to his sole discretion.

Those individuals who join him and that are added to The International People’s Claim to the North Pole, will have an equal share in the profits that may be made from the North Pole and its energy reserves, and any other profits that can be made from the North Pole.

These individuals may also propose that a part of the North Pole should be used as a Green Zone, where no commercial activity is permitted, such as no oil drilling or any other activity which may endanger the wildlife inhabiting The Arctic. They are allowed to express this wish at the time they join the list. How large the Green Zone will be is decided by how many individuals have expressed this wish, and by Harald v Reenen, or those who are appointed by him.

The participants in The International People’s Claim to the North Pole will allow Harald v Reenen, or his representatives, to take every step that he or his representatives, at his own discretion, think is necessary to ensure that The International People’s Claim to the North Pole is recognised by the international community, and in particular, by the United Nations (UN), or any other organisation that is widely believed to deal with the Ownership of the North Pole and its vast reserves.

The participants of The International People’s Claim to the North Pole recognise in full that Harald v Reenen, or those who are appointed by him, is the sole representative of The International People’s Claim to the North Pole, and any decision made regarding this claim to the North Pole is respected in full by the participants who have joined his International People’s Claim to the North Pole.

Any commercial or non-commercial exploitation of the North Pole will only be conducted with the prior and explicit consent of Harald V Reenen, the sole representative of The International People’s Claim to the North Pole, and all participants who want to join him and are accepted onto the list of The International People’s Claim to the North Pole.

Therefore, exploitation of the North Pole that is conducted without his prior consent will be considered illegal.

Without contradicting the above or limiting the rights of the individuals who join him in this claim, Harald V Reenen is the only person in the world who is entitled to commercialize “The International People’s Claim to the North Pole” at his sole discretion.

He wants to express his desire to cooperate with the other five Polar states: The Russian Federation, the U.S.A., Norway, Denmark (Greenland), and Canada - and the UN, to enforce the legitimacy of his official Declaration of Ownership claim.

Mr V Reenen has the right to let other individuals and organisations associate with this claim without limiting his own rights to the North Pole.

He expects his rights concerning the “The International People’s Claim to the North Pole” to be respected by the five Polar states and every other state in the world, including the UN.
